Continuous In-Line Dispersion of Difficult to Wet Powders

At the heart of every Quadro Ytron^® Kontinuum system is the enhanced dispersion performance and benefits of our ZC-Disperser, with the unique implementation of our new Uniform Film Interface (UFI) technology. Continuous powder dispersion can now be accomplished within a compact footprint, saving on the costly manufacturing floor space involved in alternative solutions such as swing tank processing.

The UFI technology allows a high degree of control accuracy in continuous powder dispersion applications, with achievable inline concentrations up to above 40% by weight. The sealed environment around the UFI minimizes dusting in the process area, while improving ease of automation with the use of proximity sensors and machine isolation.

The Quadro Ytron^® ZC-Kontinuum is designed to continuously incorporate and disperse even the most difficult-to-wet powders into a liquid stream with ease. The unique design of the ZC-Kontinuum's dispersion tooling and reactor head with UFI technology provides for the intense shearing of powders in a single pass prior to complete hydration, producing homogenous powder dispersions that are completely free of lumps and fish-eyes with minimal air entrainment.

Loss-in-Weight Continuous Powder Feeding

• Twin screw feeder recommended to minimize rate pulsations and improve continuous powder rate control
• High feed rates for large scale production can be accomplished with single screw feeders and powder dampening nozzles
• Agitated hopper used to maintain continuous operation even with difficult flowing powders
